There are so many great things to do up and down the Grand Strand, but one activity we most recommend is taking advantage of the different boat tours in Myrtle Beach. These tours offer a new and exciting experience to your vacation, right off the coast! We’ve put together a list of the best Myrtle Beach boat tours.
Myrtle Beach Watersports offers two fantastic dolphin cruises in the Myrtle Beach area. Aboard the Sea Thunder or Sea Screamer, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable two-hour-long ride, but these aren’t your average dolphin-watching cruises. Tours start with a narrated ride up the Intracoastal Waterway. The real adventure begins as the boats pick up speed heading towards the ocean. Once in the Atlantic, the dolphin watching begins as you travel along the Grand Strand’s gorgeous coastline. Tours are $28 for adults, $23 for seniors 60+ and $18 for children. Kids 2 and under are free. If you book online, there’s a $3 off coupon for adult tickets.
Voyager offers a two-and-a-half-hour-long Dolphin Adventure Cruise. Once aboard the 75’ Starship cruiser, enjoy a ride down the Intracoastal Waterway to the Atlantic Ocean. Voyager captains will find local shrimping boats to cruise alongside to give guests the best chance for seeing the magic of marine life as dolphins and sharks feed behind the boat. The Starship has restrooms, an air-conditioned cabin and a full galley on board with snacks and cold beverages. Tours are $28 for adults, $22 for children ages 3-12 and kids 2 and under are free.
Express Watersports offers dolphin-watching experiences out of Murrells Inlet, located approximately 40 minutes south of Monterey Bay Suites. Dolphin cruises with Express last one and a half hours sailing through the Inlet into the Atlantic Ocean. Knowledgeable captains will educate guests on marine life and local history while riding from their private slip on the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk to the ocean. Guests will have the chance to see dolphins, sea turtles and other local marine life. Tours are $28 for adults, $20 for children ages 3-12 and free for kids 2 and under. Book your Myrtle Beach Dolphin Watch Cruise online today!
Just like the name implies, Action Water Sportz takes dolphin watching to the next level with jet ski tours. After receiving training and instructions from Action’s experienced staff, guests will hop on their own jet ski and the group will head out on an adventure. The tour includes a stop at Barrier Island for exploring then out to the ocean for the highlight of the trip, sightseeing for the Atlantic bottlenose dolphin and other local marine life.
Dolphin Watch Trips last two hours and costs $190 per person. Guests must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license to drive their own jet ski. Kids 18 and under may ride as a passenger with parental consent.
Ahoy, mateys! Climb aboard Blackbeard’s Treasure Hunter, the largest pirate ship in the Carolinas, for an hour-long, treasure-hunting adventure. Upon boarding the Treasure Hunter, kids will transform into little mates with pirate mustaches, tattoos and swords (all provided for free). Your little mates will join the fearless pirate crew as they hunt for the lost treasure, battle Bad Bones Billy with water cannons and sword fight until the treasure is secured. Pirate cruises are $25 for adults, $25 for kids ages 3-12 and $10 for kids ages 1-2. Book your treasure hunt online today!
Yo-ho! All aboard the Sea Gypsy for a pirate adventure. With a treasure map in hand, the pirate crew will set sail in search of the sunken treasure of the Atlantic. This interactive boat ride is fun for the whole family. Pirate Adventures are $25 per person for a one-hour excursion. Every kid will have the chance to dress like a pirate with a painted mustache, anchor tattoo and lucking treasure-hunting vest! This adventure is very hands-on including a pirate battle, water cannon fight, treasure hunting and celebration party at the end.
The Big “M” Casino is South Carolina’s only casino with two luxury yachts that offer year-round cruises. Try your hand at slot machines, table games and more!
