The non-summer months bring opportunities for indoor The Myrtle Beach Art Museum features 11 galleries that change throughout the year. Also known by its longer name, Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, it offers exhibitions featuring paintings, textiles, sculpture, photography, video, ceramics, assemblage, and collage. One exhibition open through Dec. 10 is The Big Easy by surrealist artist Richard Hagerty. That exhibit features paintings exploring manifold realms, including mythology, astronomy, anatomy, botany, history, philosophy, and world religions.
And of course, the world-famous Hollywood Wax Museum in Myrtle Beach features life-like wax figures of your favorite stars. They have been described as so real that “it was like they were going to speak to you!”
