Below, you’ll find some of our guests’ most Frequently Asked Questions, as well as corresponding answers.   • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-in time starts after 4:00 PM. Check-out time is before 11:00 AM.

  • Are early check-ins and late check-outs possible?

    Not during the summer season (June, July, and August). You can request an early check-in with the front desk (843-449-4833) during the off season but it is never guaranteed.

  • Do I need a credit card at check-in?

    Yes. The credit card used to make the reservation must be present at check-in with card holder and matching ID for verification purposes.

  • What room amenities are available at Monterey Bay Suites?

    The room amenities at Monterey Bay Suites include murphy beds in most suites, free WiFi, full kitchen in every suite, and private balcony.

  • How many parking passes will I be given?

    (1) One parking pass per reservation. City parking is $15 per day.

  • Are Motorcycles allowed?

    Yes, Motorcycles are allowed. (1) One parking space per reservation.

  • Does Monterey Bay offer trailer parking?

    No, unfortunately trailer parking is not allowed.

  • What type of rooms are available at Monterey Bay Suites?

    The rooms available at Monterey Bay Suites range from King, Queen, and Family Suites. You can book an oceanfront suite or a suite with an ocean view.

  • What do the in-room kitchens include at Monterey Bay Suites?

    The in-room kitchens at Monterey Bay Suites are full kitchens and come complete with a refrigerator, stove, cabinets, and microwave.

  • What are some of the amenities at Monterey Bay Suites?

    Some of the on-property amenities at Monterey Bay Suites include free hot deluxe breakfast daily, indoor and outdoor pools, a rooftop pool, cardio center, and onsite entertainment.

  • Does Monterey Bay Suites have a pool?

    Monterey Bay Suites has multiple pools including an indoor pool deck with lazy river, kiddie pool, hot tub, an outdoor pool deck, and a rooftop pool.

  • Does Monterey Bay Suites offer free breakfast?

    Yes, Monterey Bay Suites offers a hot breakfast which includes cereals, pastries, bread, scrambled eggs, grits, biscuits & gravy, hash browns, home fries, sausage, ham, bacon, waffles, coffee, milk, juice, and tea.

  • What popular attractions are close to Monterey Bay Suites?

    There are so many attractions just a short drive from Monterey Bay Suites including Alabama Theatre, Broadway at the Beach, Carolina Opry, House of Blues, Barefoot Landing, Family Kingdom, Medieval Times, and more!

  • What restaurants are nearby Monterey Bay Suites?

    There are a variety of restaurants right down the road from Monterey Bay Suites including Hook & Barrel, Mediterranean Bistro, The Melting Pot, Library Restaurant, and many more.

  • Are these units pet friendly?

    We're sorry, but Pets are NOT allowed in our units or on property.

  • Are these units non-smoking?

    ALL of our units are non-smoking. Smoking is not permitted in the rooms or on the balconies as we consider that a part of the room as well.

  • What is your do not disturb policy?

    Your Health and Safety is of utmost importance, therefore, if the “Do Not Disturb” sign remains on your door for an extended period- of- time and we are unable to contact you, we may knock on your door and if no answer, enter your room to determine your well-being. Please understand it is not our intention to disturb guests during their vacation, however, we reserve the right to enter rooms to check on the safety and security of our guests and property as well as to perform maintenance and repairs.

  • How much is the security deposit / worry free vacation fee?

    A $100 security deposit is required at check-in (via credit card) and is refundable at check-out minus any incidental charges during the time of stay. You can also purchase the Worry Free Vacation for $39.95 (plus tax), non-refundable, paid with your first night stay deposit.

  • What is the security deposit / worry free vacation fee for?

    The security deposit is a required temporary charge at check-in (via credit card) and is refundable at check-out minus any incidental charges during the time of stay.

    The optional Worry Free Vacation Fee is a non-refundable fee that can be added to your reservation and will cover up to $1,000 in non-negligent damage that may occur during your stay.

    • The Worry Free Vacation Fee is not insurance but is an agreement that covers non-negligent or accidental damage. Non-negligent or accidental damage may include but is not limited to: scratches to the wall, accidental breakage of glassware, spills, minor stains, and accidental furniture breakage.
    • The Worry Free Vacation Fee does not cover intentional or neglectful damage to the unit. This may include but is not limited to: damage caused by a party, damage caused by smoking or pets, theft or removal of unit inventory, or furniture breakage if determined negligent.
    • Guests’ personal property is not included under the terms of the Worry Free Vacation Fee.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    We understand plans change which is why we created our risk-free cancellation and change policy.

    • The advance deposit is 100% refundable if a reservation is canceled up to 14 days prior to the ORIGINAL arrival date.
    • Reservations canceled within 14 days of the arrival date can reallocate the advance deposit funds toward future dates within one year of the original stay dates. Once the advance deposit funds have been reallocated to future stay dates, they are NON-REFUNDABLE. We strongly encourage you to purchase our Vacation Protection Plan at time of booking. Please note that changes to the reservation will be subject to availability and any room rate differences.
    • Guests who do not arrive on their scheduled arrival date and fail to notify the resort of a change to their stay dates, therefore acknowledge forfeiture of advance deposit funds.
    • For Monthly Rentals Only: All deposits are due at the time of booking. Full amount of the deposit is non-refundable. No changes to the dates of arrival are permitted within 30 days of arrival. Payment of full stay is required upon check in. There will be absolutely no refunds on early departures. Additional requirements for winter rentals do apply.

  • What is the Vacation Protection Plan?

    Life happens. We never know what life events may arise at the most inopportune time. That's why we offer a Vacation Protection plan. This is an optional, non-refundable charge you can select at the time of booking. If selected, it allows you to cancel your reservation up to 4:00 PM on the day of arrival and receive a 100% refund of your advance deposit.

  • What is your refund policy in the event of a hurricane?

    In the event of a pending hurricane and the Governor’s issuance of a mandatory evacuation, guests will receive a full refund. If there is not a Governor’s mandated evacuation, guests can reallocate the advanced deposit to be used as the deposit toward different stay dates within 1 year of the original reservation.
